To paraphrase myself, in my thank you letter to the participants

“…bask in the knowledge that you have done a grand thing. You have brought joy and knowledge to many young minds. You brought people from many different communities together, and gave them a safe place to feel good about themselves and each other…”

We also lit up the eyes of hundreds of children, parents, and educators with a wild array or comic book delights. We had a wide variety of all age comics and graphic novels, ranging from humorous teenagers, to adventurous animals, to baseball legends of the Negro League.
